The licence declares each of the fifteen strains separately instead of pooling them into a single blend figure, which is the level of detail a buyer can carry into the Health Canada record and match line by line. These are per-capsule counts and they add to 50 billion.

Questions

Why is the strain designation after each name?

A species name alone does not identify a probiotic. LA85 and LG08 are specific deposited strains, and the licence records them at that level of detail.

Is 50 billion the count at manufacture or at expiry?

The licence declares 50 billion CFU per capsule without stating which. Ask before buying if the distinction matters to you.

Who should not take this?

Do not use this product if you have an immune-compromised condition, for example AIDS, lymphoma, or long-term corticosteroid treatment. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you have fever, vomiting, bloody diarrhoea or severe abdominal pain. Stop use and consult a health care practitioner if symptoms of digestive upset occur, worsen or persist beyond three days.
